Danny Swan is based outta gresham Oregon. He owns and operates SPLAT Designs. He has painted tons of racers lids, team bikes, off road trucks and quads and just is an all around graphic bad ass. This bike is just the first collabo between me and dannny, there are more coming, but the first is all mine, cuz im greedy like that.
I wanted to white out my V10, cuz i havnt had a white bike in a while. but i wanted it to wear well too. I HAD NO INTENTION TO EVER BABY THIS BIKE!!! the plan was always to race it, ride it, free ride it, like a v10 is supposed to. so anyways, I say to Dan, white out, with skulls. Now we all know there are a lot of skull stencils out there, and i knew dan could do awesome stuff, but then he starts to work and HE HAND AIRBRUSHED EACH AND EVERY FUCKING SKULL!! plus he got the vibe of some racing stripes and fades in there that really set the bike off. its still a race bike you know, and Dan did a great job of showing that. highlighting that. He took my idea of white and skulls, and he just did what danny does. by the way, v10c is awesome. collet locking bearing axles? what the efff? so dialed. More is coming from this bike project so stay tuned...... and thanks for the props. we all bike nerds, and im a super bike nerd. its good to know im stoking out the fellow nerdbots out there!
remember to always balance your nerding out with lots and lots of heavy duty riding.
