Added a new video Fall Hardtail Shred 11/13/2013 8:06 AM
C138x104

This video is all about fun. Isn't that why we all got hooked in the first place? Don't forget it. From Kyle,

Fall is that magical time of year when the race season is behind us and things seem to slow down a bit. Every year I build up a hard-tail to ride in the fall for no other reason than because it's fun. Quite honestly it is pretty easy to forget that having fun is what its all about and thats why we all start riding in the first place.
Along with this video I am launching an athlete page on Facebook. If you get a chance it would be awesome if you could give it a like. Thanks and I hope you enjoy

Added a product review for Xpedo Baldwin Clipless Pedal 11/4/2013 12:28 PM

Xpedo Baldwin Clip-less Review

Rating:

The Good: Light, Durable, Works well, Looks good,

The Bad: Screws may loosen but its an easy fix, don't take a shiner

Overall:

When I got my first look at these pedals I was absolutely stoked to test them out. Xpedo did a really good job of putting together a solid reliable pedal. The pedal's body is slightly smaller all around than the Shimano trail pedals as well as the CrankBrother Mallets. This make squeezing in between rocks just that much easier as well as making pedal strikes a rare occurrence. The cleat system is almost identical to the Shimano SPD interface. A cool feature of the Xpedos is that the cleat has the ability to slide a few millimeters side to side while mounting them on your shoe. This makes getting them in the perfect spot for you super easy as well as allows you to eliminate shoe rub and it really helped me to find a position that was easy on my knees. These pedals are extremely light yet the platform still gives you an ample amount  of contact which helps reduce hotspots on your foot as well as improve power transfer. This made a pretty noticeable difference when pedaling all day. The only gripes I found during the entire season were these two. I had a few of the screws that hold the front cleat onto the pedal come loose. I understand that they made a running change with there torque specs as well as the addition of red lock tite and this issue has been resolved. I also found the body to be a little sharp on the leading edge and It doesn't feel great to hit your shin or calf but that is the case with most pedals anyways.  All in all these pedals are a great step forward for Xpedo in the high end All Mountain category and I think that with a few small refinements we will see these pedals on race bikes all over the world.
