Sadly I think when you talk about bikes in any form, this is what people typically picture in there minds... Pays to be famous.

Missing Colorado real, real bad right now...

Reply to Is 4X dying? 2/15/2011 7:41 PM

I vote we develop 4X into gravity racing's version of Supercross and get a winter national tour going in places like Texas, California, Arizona and where ever else the AMA goes. Then it becomes the thing to do in the cold season. Worked for motocross... ... more »

Reply to Is 4X dying? 2/15/2011 7:18 PM

Who the hell ever said a 4X track had to be manicured and pristine? Was a guidebook as to how to build these tracks laid down before the first event was ever held? Why can't you just rope off a hillside put a gate at the top and declare the first one ... more »

DANG DANG!!! (Tom Dugan) Love that guy's riding. That video just reminded me of how much I miss Colorado and how much I hate where I am now. The things I do for money, stupid work.

Feel free to tear me apart on this one, but has anyone ever approached the ABA or NBL for sanctioning help? I don't want to sound crazy, but it seems like there is more of a shared bond between Gravity and BMX Racing anyways. I mean think about the backgrounds ... more »

I know, I liked your joke so I decided to run with it. Also, the cartoon you posted just became my new work computer background.

Ah man my boss is going to hate me for this, I need to stay out of these things, but it is fun. I see your point with Moto GP. Safety is a good thing and rules must be applied responsibly. To play devil's advocate, again, I will draw your attention to ... more »

I think Wild Bill brings up a dangerous point when it comes to capping creativity and progression in the name of safety. Especially when calling for oversight from a governing body that does not have the first understanding about the intricacies of our ... more »

Course construction was not the issue in just about every case. The only exception in my mind being the "big doubles" on the AM track, they were too small. The run in was the same as it was last year for jumps which were twice the size, which lead to ... more »

Reply to DOT vs. MTB helmet 5/19/2010 5:08 PM

I ride DOT coupled with a Liatt. This is largely based on two points. One, I also ride a lot of moto so having one helmet for both is easier and cheaper. Two, I have come to look at the arguments surrounding helmets something like this: DOT helmets in ... more »

Kind of defeats the purpose of calling it Freecaster, huh? In all seriousness, I'm simply not interested unless the streaming actually works.

Reply to The Next IT-Color. 3/12/2010 3:35 PM

Can we all agree that Earth Tones are a bit played out in the bike industry? As far as "IT" colors, they're only getting brighter, and I don't really seeing it going away for at least a couple more years. Then Earth Tones will be back, mark my words. ... more »
