Even better, Graves won an EWS on the SB66 in 2014! And in 2013 he took that bike to bronze at the DH World Championships.

I'm in the process of doing just this. picked up the 2014 SB66 frame for $1049 on steepandcheap.com.http://www.steepandcheap.com/gear-cache/bikes-and-frames-blowout I think it's actually less now. I'm sure I can have fun on a 26" for a few years at these prices. And these wheels...more

Good one Vital! Who would pass up a Yeti SB66 at $999? wheels. Snap up the bargains boys and girls while everyone else is drooling over 27.5" bikes they've been brainwashed into buying for a very slight difference in rolling and cornering. If Graves won an Enduro World Series on a...more

First off - good on you for writing this article. But, what about the used 26" bike market? That's what we need to be talking about. I don't see any of the main stream bike sites talking about this. The real steal and story is top tier spec'd Nomad C's, Ibis HD's, V10 carbons etc...more

They're just trying to work out how to make gearboxes frail, perishable, design upgradeable and then they'll be marketed like no tomorrow.

As a fellow sufferer of flat pedal addiction, I'm baffled by this review - the suggestion that the platform on the vaults is too small is just odd. I've been out to the shed to measure my Vaults, and also a set of Point Ones - the Vaults are both longer and wider than the Point...more

I watermark stuff so it doesn't get stolen. As soon as someone throws cash my way for it, watermarks are out. That's business. Watermarks have no place on website pages because the photogs should have been PAID to take them off. That's all I'm sayin'.

Because the only 650b tire maxxis offers that is 2.4 is the HR2...no minions..no shorty and the 2.4 in the rear is less than ideal...

Tires need to match rim width or the profile is less than ideal. Not sure why this isn't mentioned more by professional reviewers? I assumed tires would start to match wide rims so this won't be another short lived trend like it was when sun ringle offered 30mm+ double wides over a decade ago but we aren't seeing that.

Because I have 30mm internal width rims on my bike right now and they don't work with with a 2.3 HR2 as a front tire...It's all good until you lean your bike over....the casing ends up being wider than the tread...maybe if you live somewhere with super good traction it's not as...more

Who actually makes tyres designed for wide rims ? on every wide rimmed bike I have seen the tyres make a very flat profile with terrible side knob angles.

2.3 HR2 front tire + i31.5mm rim is not a good combo....I got all excited for a minute hoping there was a good option for a sub i30mm rim...
