These are heavier than the impact clipless? While these sound like fine shoes, I'm not sure why anyone would opt for them over the impacts. The reviewers request for lighter and stiffer exists in the new impact.

If I'm not mistaken, a V10 carbon frame weight is 7.2 lbs with a coil shock, so it's lighter. It also has rearward travel built into its rear suspension, so that's not a new idea, just borrowed from Santa Cruz. Finally,...more

Very cool bike, except for the rubber bumper to protect the rear end from contacting the seat tube. That contact should be impossible on a properly designed frame when using the correct size shock for the bike. Claiming it...more

Thank you Orange for still offering 26. 27.5 should be another option, not the only one.

I personally feel 23mm is the sweet spot for 2.3 to 2.5 tires. I'm currently running 28.5mm internal and have noticed my cornering game has suffered. My tires are too square and I'm running big 2.5's. A 2.3 would be REALLY square. The square profile feels great on slow tech, straight line braking, straight line stability, and tech climbing, but when the speeds are fast with frequent corners, I'm slower and less agile than with 23mm. I'm noticing more rolling resistance too. I know wider is better marketing tells us wider can allow for faster rolling speeds. I won't argue the physics of low psi in rough terrain, all I can say is I'm experiencing more rolling resistance whether going up, down, through rough or buff. Now I know why Mavic refuses to capitulate to market trends. The last generation Enve DH rims were 21mm internal. That wasn't an oversight I'm sure, but they know wider is selling so it would be tough to convince anyone right now that 21mm is a good width.

What spokes are on those things?

Broke 2 Enve DH wheels this season in four rides...I race CAT 1 so not the fastest nor the slowest rider. Best wheels to ride on, YES! Confidence in Enve's quality control, ZERO! And they claim a two day turn around for warranties, NOT. I hope they get things back on track. I really love...more

I think the better question is are the M90 rims capable of handling DT super comp spokes or do they fail like the M70's?

Hopefully not those "too stiff" double butted ones!

Nothing is more funny than a claimed "deal" in the mtb industry...

I have one of these and it's probably the best bike I've ever ridden, period. A shame there's no "market" for them. I do wonder what the 27.5" version of this bike will be like...since Yeti needs to replace it with something!

That's so true. We've heard plenty about the benefits of larger wheels. How often do we see 26" marketed for its better agility, acceleration, lighter weight..... I was excited about 27.5 when it was another option. Too bad it's looking like we are loosing an option, not gaining one.

If they put ANY imagination in to marketing it, 26 would sell just fine. So funny (and ironic) how they push all that technical crap about wheel size (any wheel size)... yet despite all the benefits, a 26er still comes out on top (well, at...more

It's hard to believe the 66 has been discontinued. Yeti would do well to bring it back after Graves takes the overall.

148mm rear spacing?... Great, another new "standard".... At that point why not just use 150mm hubs?

That seems like a reasonable reason to ding them at least a half, if not a full star, amirite?
