You're right, skidding down a hill isn't something Brook is used to doing

There's a huge difference between racing world cups and free-riding. Any of the guys who ride in rampage would tear this up with much less hesitation. He's used to groomed world cup downhill courses, and that's what he does best. And yeah I'm also bagging on his intelligence because of his word choices and lack of originality as seen in this interview: http://www.pinkbike.com/video/308860/

Red bull should have brought along some free-riders to show him how it's done. He looked scared, and did he just use the word "tummy?" Oh Brook, it's tough coming up with your own words when Neko isn't around, isn't it?

Seems pretty gimmicky, especially putting "freely rotating" parts on something to make it more rigid, and putting those parts right in the dirt.

I wonder if it was by choice or he just didn't have a chance to chop the steerer tube? Or maybe the forks belonged on a different bike?

We agree completely agree with the comments about the Shimano drivetrain. We updated our spec to the new clutched derailleurs and a double crank on the Race and Pro kits as soon as we could, unfortunately the bike we provided for this test had last years Race kit. The clutch derailleurs...more

So sorry to hear you have to part with it. I hope you can find someone willing to pay what it's worth! Will you still be showcasing it at sea otter? I was looking forward to checking it out!

Definitely inspired... that jump into the low hanging log at the end looks like it could be a serious headache if you mess up!

pretty much well summed up! But 'negative' marketeering like this smacks of any PR is good PR. RS shouldn't drop to the level of bored actors and sex tapes. While I dont think what RS did is as desperate, and it certainly had a familiar shock factor..................wait...more

Way to go Rock Shox! For those who believe this is bad marketing, take a second to think: Did they make this product memorable? Did it evoke an emotion? Based on the overwhelmingly heated responses to this post I would say, yes. Whether people caught the joke and laughed, or missed it and became outraged, they made a memorable impression on all of us and got people talking about their product. Absolute success by marketing standards!
