I'm pretty sure the big S will be making 650 soon though, can't see why they wouldn't. I already saving cash for the first one they make!!

You also need to train just about every day if you want to ride with the pros (if you don't already). This doesn't mean simply riding every day but you have to do things OFF the bike too. Things like lifting weights, rowing, yoga, road biking, jumps, ... more »

Reply to Could this be a good comparable to an X01 setup? 11/30/2013 9:15 AM

yea that is true and it is hard to replace my 2x10 setup when it works just fine and hasn't failed on me yet just to drop like 300 on parts to switch to something that is unproven and might suck.

Reply to Get mine "Pushed" or just a new Fork?? 10/23/2013 6:55 AM

Yea, the factory fork tune looks like the way to go thanks. If I'm spending 160 I might as well pony up 50 bucks more and get the real deal. When the fork was new it was pretty good, there is a "firmness" knob on the right tube and I almost always run ... more »

I have a Rockshox Revelation 150mm with a 20mm axle, it is an okay fork but it def doesn't match the performance of the fox rear end. I needed to get the fork serviced over the winter anyways so maybe the push idea would work out well?

I am about to buy a Spec stumpjumper evo comp myself and thought it was a perfect balance in what i need in a bike. I'll mainly do trail rides both long and short but prolly not too much super d or enduro racing or anything like that but that is what ... more »

Reply to Indestructible/do it all bike 3/31/2013 2:51 PM

There isn't one bike that will do it all even though it is getting closer the more bikes evolve these days. What kind of racing do you do? Enduro bikes are very capable but don't climb as well, Trail bikes climb better but dont descend as well, etc. ... more »

Reply to Specialized Stumpy EVO comp or Giant Reign 1?? 3/23/2013 5:46 PM

Thanks, I'm really starting to favor the Stumpy now anyways. The only thing I have left to decide is what size to get, I'm 5'11" with a 33inch inseam and I am going to put on a super short Holzfeller DH stem once I get it. Think I should go with the ... more »

Reply to looking forvs good freeride/all mountain bike 3/2/2013 7:14 AM

I like my Cannondale Claymore a lot. Its a little bit more on the Freeride side of the spectrum but it is very adjustable with a rear shock that can go from 110mm to 180mm and a front shock that can go from 140mm to 180mm and both are only a switch flip ... more »

Reply to Armor Debate, please help! 2/11/2013 12:15 PM

Idk, I have been reading lots a great things about that new TLD Armor too. I'm not sure what the shock doctor stuff is all about or how it would compare to a hardshell roost guard like the Astars but it couldn't be THAT much different could it?? I guess ... more »

Get something used, like a Specialized Demo, Giant Glory or Intense M9 then you can upgrade as needed. $1750 won't get you anything new that is worth while.

Reply to CCDB air vs Vivid air vs BOS Void 1/30/2013 4:13 PM

I haven't ridden any of them but I hear the Vivid air is one of the best for DH riding and is also the one that has been out for the longest time so they have had longer to work out all the kinks and make any improvements that were needed. All you need ... more »
