I've been riding mine since august, approximately 2x/week in the North East (Canada). We had a very wet fall, so I can confirm it works as well in the wet as in the dry.
I've had two issues with mine. First is that "it won't drop every once in a while" issue you guys experienced. I brought it to my shop and it was diagnosed as the little kevlar cable inside the post that actuates the drop function having come loose from one of its two clamping points. They clamped it down properly at both ends, and voilà, worked like new again.
Second issue arose when I went for a ride in 17°F (-8°C) temps. While riding around the parking lot before the ride, the post wouldn't lock in place. After some jiggling of the cable, it locked in the “up” position and I could ride. But then it wouldn’t drop anymore. Even after it spent the night in the basement, it wouldn’t move anymore. I still have to bring it to the shop to see what the problem is. I’m thinking something froze, and when I pulled on the lever, something snapped… but that’s total speculation at this point, and I won’t know until it gets opened up.
Also, on the issue of creaking, I found blue lock-tite fixed the problem.
All in all, I am very pleased with this post, I will just avoid riding it in sub-freezing temps. It got all slow on the rebound as it got colder anyways.

Yes. We probably had 15-20 days in the muck. No issues. The seal and stanchion are still in great shape.
did you get to try this in wet conditions at all? It seems to me that most mtb products work well in dry/dusty conditions, its often not the case when the trails get wet and muddy.
