I built this up for 2016. I have never had a full suspension 29er but after riding my EPO for the year last year, I wanted to try out a full suspension 29er. The Riot seemed precisely what I was seeking.

I entered the Trans BC Enduro this year to experience some new trails. Thought this bike would be a great way to experience it.

Gotta have some Rainier while building a bike from the PNW.

Shimano drivetrain and SRAM brakes...that's not something you see everyday! Wink ...same with those wheels. Looks great and I'm sure rides even better!

Definitely a good point. I am definitely a Shimano guy. I gave the Guides a chance last year and really like them. They were durable and consistent all year long. I really like the lever on them. Definitely different but the combo works quite well.

The wheels are rad! I ran the same model just different wheel size last year on my Balance. They are still going strong!

Lizard Skins makes a 'frame leather' that works really well for protecting from the tailgate pad. The frame is raw with no clear, so I wanna keep it fresh. I also put 3M on a variety of spots to prevent rub or shuttle damage.

Thanks. I've been on the Raw Riot since September. I don't transport with a tailgate pad or shuttle, but that's a good idea.

Beautiful Riot! I just built one up, how did you get the guide to work with 30mm BB? I'm having trouble fitting mine even after some grinding.

Awesome! Congrats, a bitchin bike for sure.

It was tight for sure. I put this guide on first, then the cranks. Everything seemed to tighten up just fine.
