Those two particular bikes have too much in common...not sure which of those crashes was more devastating - both riders were waaaaaay up on the rest of the field within sight of the finish.

Kill the Spesh - if it's set up for Gwin, it would kill me first. Screw the Gambler - it would be fun, but high-maintenance. Marry the Pulse - not too familiar with them, but I know the others aren't marriage material for me. (I hope my bike-wives don't

UCI isn't effing around...they don't even list the team name for Bryceland or Minnaar. Very odd not to hear anything about Steve Smith...hope everything is ok in Chainsaw Country.

That's in slo-mo, too. I'm beyond awestruck.

Always wear a backpack - no bladder though. Just bottled goods...it allows for variety. Even riding park/shuttles, I'll rock a Camelbak just to carry tools, tunes, etc. I'm old-school like that.

Gotta side with Teamrobot on the Gwin addage. That aside, I think Hill would win on the wetter/sloppier courses while Vouilloz would fare better on the fast and dry tracks. Maybe.

The one thing that heat-map is telling me is there's some trails out in the Atlantic Ocean directly east of Georgia and south of Nova Scotia. Atlantis???
Reply to Why are flat tires something we still see these days? 5/14/2014 10:40 PM
I never seem to get flats and I'm a tube guy. The only time I seem to get them is when I forget to pack a spare tube/patch-kit. Btw, $2 is the wholesale cost of your average-grade inner-tube. Essentially, if your LBS is charging more than $6 for a tube, ... more »

Not to mention Gwin seemed a little more than just happy for Brook when he won that WC round this past season...almost as if one of his own team-mates had won.

Fair enough...I've seen a couple around town, but didn't have a chance to talk it up with the owners. I would only consider one for TRUE XC/AM riding...nothing else. As-is, I'll stick with my Flux. I am probably going to get one of these for commuting-xc/am ... more »
