I was graduating high school in FL when this came out, so I was oblivious to this movie, needless to say. That soundtrack is soooooooo '80's it hurts!

It'd be a bummer if you had to put that over the back of a pick-up truck for a shuttle with that cable-routing.

According to my estimates (likely on the lower side of the actual total), that was at least $2 million in bikes. I'd hit all of them.

I can't think of a 5 minute period in my life prior to watching this that I've laughed and cringed as hard as I did as often as I did. Proper soundtrack as well!
I'm also amazed that nobody tried the high line in that first section. Looks like it was a relatively smooth and straight line...as much as any line could have been on those rigs.
They are actually downhillers which, back then, also did XC, and Dual-slalom. Others even raced road, track, bmx and even rode trials. DH was insanely infantile and fringe back then. As kidwoo mentioned, Palmer essentially gave DH the wake-up-call it had been waiting for.
More moto than moto. Rider of the year, IMHO.

Unreal! I'd be thrashed by the 3rd lap...if I even made it that far. Mad props to you both - and to those behind the scenes as well.

I would disintegrate trying to go that fast.

Hahaha...the one I tried to wheelie was a ghetto-tech one some guy built up from scratch. Read - not dialed at all.

Is it possible to get vertigo just watching a video?

That one character needs to wear a helmet...he's setting such a poor example for figurines everywhere.

Especially on one of those bikes...they're a mother to wheelie!
They were saying those things, but all I could hear was "those damned Brits took our golds...we'll crush them next season".
In all seriousness, that was a solid recap. Good luck next season!

That top section was less than a one-liner...more like a 3/4-liner. Damn!
If he was somehow able to regulate his adrenaline after 3ing that drop (as well as last year), he'd be a 3x Rampage champion without a doubt. Of course, NOBODY would be able to keep it in check after stomping something that big...let alone after 3ing it.
It's just great to see him back to form after all those years where he was hurting himself big and often.
It was painful at times to listen to them during this and many other runs. He launched that hip between his drops like nobody and they were just silent. Don't even get me started on how bad they butchered a lot of the riders names/nicknames.
Sounds like somebody is determined to not finish in 4th. That would be one way to remedy that. Damn!
