Hey man, sorry I took so long to reply to your comment.
My only term of comparison is my previous Evil Uprising bike. I never rode a Pivot Mach 6 to give you a fundamented opinion on both. However one thing I can tell you: this Insurgent is a beast! I've been ridding it in Low position to have a more all rouder bike and it's super stiff, has huge traction and overall rides superbly well. Have plans for a Bike Park thash and give it a go with a slacker position. It seems it unleashes a helluva downhill monster!

So far so good. It's a self adhesive velcro tape from Tesa. It keeps the chain links clean and avoids any friction noise. It'll start to wear with the use and eventually come off with all the muck and water from winter rides. Easily replaceable.
