Greg made the semi finals for the top 10, but did not make the main finals for the top 5. They had a pretty interesting format. Open qualifiers on Sat, could take as many runs as you wanted until you were satisfied. Then on Sunday, top 10 had one practice run, and then the Semi Finals runs. The top 5 from Semis went back up the hill and took one more run for the finals. The guy that got 5th overall didnt even finish the race in the main finals (not sure what happened).

Yippee - all that means is that his team most likely declined to pay $ to be an 'ELITE' team.
"These teams will benefit from numerous advantages: notably free entry at UCI Mountain Bike World Cup events and free entry for all races on the UCI Mountain Bike International Calendar. In return, they are obliged to enter at least one rider in all rounds of the 2012 UCI RockyRoads Mountain Bike World Cup presented by Shimano and to display the UCI ELITE Mountain Bike Team logo on their race outfits and team vehicles."

I wouldn't necessarily say they are sped up. I could be wrong, but looks like a bunch was shot at 60fps and placed in a 24p timeline. If so, prob should have converted everything to 24p and then sped up the slomo shots to real time. Anything 60p played back in a 24p timeline looks weird since its shot at such a high frame rate.
