OMG pass the funky shit! Finally, some REAL music. Love the Bboys.
I love watching Kirt ride. Smooth, and he can ride anything.

It's odd how some of them complain about the 29er making things smoother. Doesn't all of that suspension do the same thing? Wouldn't a smoother ride make the riders push even further for even faster times?

Great photos, but I laugh at the guys saying they should keep DH to it roots/no 29 wheels, we want to ride loose etc. The roots are 26" wheels, no suspension, flannels and jeans. What year do they want to go back to? 1992 where everyone had 80 mm...more

I am just going to go out there on a limb and say i hate that the term "playful" is an attribute bikes are measured by.

Very well said. I was thinking the same thing. He doesn't want people to go faster, but he's riding for a company that's always trying to get ahead on tech and suspension. Uh, ok.
He should just stick to riding and not so many interviews. He's beginning to sound like an uneducated person that's just grasping at straws to keep people from trying something new that could help the sport progress.

You sound hypocritical Loic. You're OK with the suspension constantly improving, OK with carbon prototype everything, OK with an increase from 26 to 27.5, OK with the heaps of technology that keep air inside your tires despite what you do to them, but...more

I've had asthma since 5th grade, that would make it 26 years now. I can totally relate to you Elliot. Props to you for going out and racing as much as you have and doing as well as you have, even with your hinderance. Some people just don't realize how hard it is on you and how much it'll affect your mindset at times. I almost quit biking because my allergies and asthma got so bad about 8 years ago. I was having asthma attacks at the beginning of XC rides. Not fun. My doctor hooked me up with a nebulizer and inhalers. He said to hit up the inhalers about 15 minutes before I ride. That helped a ton. But as a person who's struggled with it for many years, I totally understand your choice and I totally relate to how it makes you feel after pushing.
Sometimes it feels like you seriously only have 1 lung.
Props to you for what you've done and what you've accomplished. Keep it up and ride hard!
