We're on it, boys! The Face Off feature Spomer alluded to will have some super scientific curb smashing with various controls in place.

4 of my riding buddies got varying models of intense last year and 3 of them had major issues with the frames and are all in agreement that Intense bikes are not worth the premium $ they are asking. They are pretty pissed about the whole situation.

Pedal kickback is mostly felt when the suspension compresses during pedaling on bigger cogs on the rear, and at slow speeds (rocky climbs are a good example). On small rear cogs and fast speeds the kickback is hard to feel. At higher speeds the pedals not always rotate backward,...more

The aluminum frames are backed by a 3 year warranty. The carbon frames are backed by a 5 year warranty.

For some it may seem too technical, but I appreciate the suspension kinematics at the beginning of the review. It gives knowledgeable readers important information, well at least on paper. Also it sets Vital apart from the other magazines by providing a more detailed...more

Vital is killing it. Comparing this article to counterparts on other websites, this is just so much better. Loving the multimedia aspect. Seeing the trails discussed in detail in the review is sick.

$1,900 US$ for a wheel that cracked 3 times and may not get warranty.... no sale.

A lot of the EWS riders are going shorter bars as a lot of the courses are really tight

Ah the good old days before the internet. Now everyone can find people online who are also into having sex with other people in animal costumes (I once stayed in a hotel that was hosting a Fuzzy convention a few years ago).

But I digress. Once upon a time all we needed was one bike. I could race XC or DH...more

contact patch gets wider but shorter. Not 100% convinced having a shorter contact patch is better as the top pros are still on fairly narrow rims (under 35mm) and tires (2.3 to 2.5).

I said the area of the contact patch is the same given the same air pressure and weight. The shape of the contact patch will change but not the area.

the contact patch is going to be the same (area wise) no matter what tires or wheels you use. Contact patch is based on weight and pressure. Only the shape is going to change.

You might put the Morsa on the front and the Goma in the back. I would put them both in the garbage.

You can't say that a more rearward arc axle path is better. There are always tradeoffs. Remember that the wheel has to comeback.
