That might be an issue with a Shimano derailleur, but Sram handles it just fine. I've had two 9-42 10 speed cassettes both with a med cage XX derailleur and no issues for almost 2years. And the range u get is awesome.

I have a friend who runs the Canfield on his new Turner 27.5 and I have a Leonardi 942 and neither one of us have any issues with the 9t under power. I don't think they ever got big because not a lot of people knew they existed. When a bigger company makes these and enough people can see the benefit of a real wide range cassette, they will take off.

You have to use the XD to fit the 9t cog. The Leonardi 9-42 also uses the XD driver

Looks cool, but what do they weigh? The Leonardi 9-42 works great and only weighs 250g.

I like the looks of the tread, but it still has a flat profile. I think it would be a little better with a rounder profile for wide rims like the ones it's mounted to in the pics.

Added reply in a thread Riding Trail / XC without a chamois? 7/18/2015 8:21 AM

I have a light saddle with not much padding so I always wear a chamois for my off-road rides, then change into regular shorts after for the post ride beer recovery drinking.

And a random pic of someone tightening or loosening their fork triple clamp pinch bolt means it's ok to put a 27.5 fork on a 26" bike? Ok bro, LMFAO!

Lyrik 29: 160mm travel, Charger damper, 51mm offset, 35mm stanchions.

So basically.... a Pike. Am I missing something?

And probably no oil...wonder if they will bind up under harsh terrain at speeds like the Pike!

At least they offer the Charger damper upgrade for existing 20mm 26" Lyrik owners.

No 20 thru axle and not in 26", guess I'll have to stick with my Fox 36 Float 180. And no, I would never run a taller 27.5 fork on a 26". Just because u can, doesn't mean u should. That messes up the intended geo and is just retarded.

Just tried a electric fat bike with suspension fork in Lenzerheide yesterday. With huge traction and power, these things can climb almost anything. Agree with the article that to have the most fun, you'd need to be going up the kind if trails where most people...more

Posting a video on a DH crash is one thing, but putting in the headline about taking out a cop and then saying wrong place at the right time insinuates that it's funny or cool that the rider ran into the cop and knocked him down. Its not. You can have an opinion on the police, but when you bring it to a mountain bike website, it becomes political and it does not belong. It maybe funny to the ignorant or uneducated, but it's inflamitory to others. It should be removed from the website entirely unstead of just censoring out the criticism.

Preston-Your comments were inappropriate and lame, and not to mention completely based on a false narrative.
The fact is the whole title and video is inflammatory and unnecessary for an MTB website.
You'll notice mine were censored as well....more
