What's that handlebar? Is it SantaCruz in house carbon bar? Any info on it? Would it be made by Enve?!

Please. Where can I find "VitalMTB" review on the 2013 Fox 34 CTD forks? I didn't recall reading one and I couldn't google or find it on Vital's site.

But here is an example from what I've read, back in late 2012 and early 2013:

Quoted from NSMB.com: "I really like the option of the good handling Trail mode and the open Descend mode. I used Trail mode most of the time because it blows open much better than RLC ever did." Link: http://nsmb.com/review-fox-34-float-26/

So, am I wrong to be "educated" by these reviews? Or should I just listen to VitalMTB from now on and ignore the others? What if NSMB.com gives a poor review on the Fox 36 tomorrow? Who should I believe? That's the case, everybody can have their own opinions against any product. Today, VitalMTB may say the Fox 36 is good, but someone from NSMB disagree. What concerns me here is how two companies, Fox and Easton, react to poor reviews against their products.

Easton work hard to redesign their poor products, came up with a better design, and take cares of their loyal customers for free.

Fox work hard to redesign their poor products, came up with a better design, and ask loyal customers to pay extra to get something that they should've got 6 moths ago.

The point is, everybody is saying that Fox has ADMITTED their shortcomings. Then why the hell are we customers have to pay for an "upgrade". To me, they are just covering their faults with "upgrades" or "updates".

As I have mentioned, Easton found out that the bearings in their Haven's rear hub has short life due to a poor design, so they came up with a better design by putting one more spacer in the hub. But they didn't advertise it as an "upgrade" or "update", they just send out the new kits for free to any customers using the wheel. That's what I consider "admit to shortcomings".

I would love to buy the 36 at this moment. If I paid top dollar for this new 36 (I don't think anyone can find a good deal beside MSRP at the moment for the new 36, at least for the first few months of its release), I would like to know that I am riding the best of the best of the best for the next 12 months at least. I am just worried that, 6 months later from now, fox would "work hard to correct the wrongward trending products" and release an "updated" 36, then my 6 months old fork would not be the "top of the line" fork.

It's like buying a brand new model from BMW or Audi, what would customers feel if BMW or Audi tell the public that, the first batch of the new car has been wrongly designed, resulted in a loss of power, but since it is not safety related, therefore customers with the first batch of that model can only "upgrade" their cars with a fee so that their "only" 6-months old car can match the performance of the same model.

So, if I "dropped cash on a new piece of tech" like this new 36 fork. Can anyone, you or fox, be sure that they are "free of issues, especially for riders who get after it on the trail"?

The story of 34 tells me that, when developing the Fox 34, there weren't enough "test rides" or "real - world testing" involved, so once it hits the market, almost everyone noticed there was a problem, then Fox "admit that their initial 2013 offerings wern't free of issues".

But how can you say that being able to upgrade is a good news, when the upgrade came by just 6 months after a new product was released? When Easton found out that there is a way to keep the bearings in my Haven wheels run longer, they send me the upgrade kit for free. That's what I call "admitting to their shortcomings". Asking customers to pay extra after finding out the shortcoming in the initial designs, is called "not admitting its a fault, just update". My 2 cents...

I really can't justify buying this new 36 after my experience with buying the 34 2 years ago......

Better wait for a year before buying anything new from Fox. Does anyone still remember the Fox 34 being UPDATED with a "Totally REVISED, much BETTER" compression damping after 6 months of its first release? I do, because I am the one riding a "Totally crap, wrongfullly dampered" brand new Fox 34 for 6 months, then realizing that I am riding an old, less performaning fork...

If you're familiar with the RockShox's line, here is how's the Pike: A mini BoXXer that makes your front end feel like a Revelation but tracks like a Lyrik, that is how good the Pike is. Straight out of the box it is smoother than any Kashima coated Fox.
