Kyle Ebbett shows off his Scott Voltage YZ TMO dirt jumper. Scroll through the photos and listen to the audio about this dialed hardtail. Kyle helped Timo Pritzl and Lance McDermott develop the Voltage YZ frames. A 68.5-degree head angle is slacker than most dirt jumpers, but Kyle likes it that way. A RockShox Argyle RCT at 100mm has more travel than most of his peers, but that's how Ebbett likes it. Kyle is 6-foot 5-inches tall, so he's used to feeling big on a bike. The Voltage YZ TMO comes in only one size, so he knows what he needs to do to his setup to feel at home on the bike. Even though the Mavic Crossmax SX wheels only have 24 spokes, Kyle hasn't had to true or even touch the wheels after a season of hard use. It's all about comfort. Grips worn just right and lever position for hands the size of Larry Bird. Ebbett goes by feel. Weight-shaving all around. Ti hardware and carbon goods like the Truvativ X0 cranks with 34-tooth ring keep things light, but strong. Because he can...3 titanium rotor bolts and 3 steel rotor bolts. Every gram counts. One of the last hold outs. Kyle runs a full cassette on his dirt jumper. Versatility is fun. While Kyle may not shift like an XC rider, he likes having the option. Sunline V2 pedals aren't over-grippy, something Kyle prefers on his dirt jumper. The SDG Apollo with I-Beam interface is light, but substantial enough for Ebbett's riding style and tricks. Schwalbe Table Tops, designed by Timo Pritzl are a favorite of Kyle's as they provide minimal rolling resistance but still offer grips when needed. Tire pressure is something Kyle figures out by feel, but trail conditions play a big factor in his decision. A 40mm Truvativ Holzfeller stem and full-width Truvativ Boobars keep Kyle's ebostrich wings soaring. Yeah Ebbett!
