Thank God (& the bike industry!) for; short stems, slack headangles, dropper posts, sticky tires, wide bars, suspension (F&R!), disc brakes, am I forgetting anything? Oh yeah, Quality helmets and body armor!

Sooooo stupid. Stoked I spent $150 to get that retarded little license this year, just because some of the local races are now USA Cycling sanctioned.

AWESOME! This was probably filmed before '92 as those Treks are older, I bet these guys got the DS2 Fork shortly after! These guys are great riders, stoppies with cantilevers! Uphill, Downhill, Urban, Trials on the same bike! Brings back memories...

We all need to think about marketing here, the Status needed to be used/approved by riders in a major event to get it to sell. Anyone that looks at the Specialized website, or, god forbid, measure it yourself, knows that the Status chainstays are LONGER than the DEMO. Both Darren and Martin are quoted saying the Status has shorter stays, and Berrecloth said it had more 'pop' for jumps. Why not have FOX (or Cane Creek, SRAM, etc.) customize the rear shock on the Demo for more 'pop'...? The marketing coach for Specialized should have tried a little harder to get these guys, or their agents, to get them to say something that doesn't make them look dumb. I guarantee that Darren knows that the demo has a shorter chainstay...

I may not be on a UCI team, but I've broken that rule many times, and I know many others, including Sam Hill and Sabrina Jonnier, that have been @ unsanctioned events that I was. Noone ever 'suspended' me, or them. Some of the best events in the U.S. are unsanctioned, this is BULLSHIT!
