I just looked to the right at an add for the P-Slope and was reminded that you'd need two different lengths of seat post due to it's interrupted seat tube. I'm sure that you could find an SX Trail for a song and a dance though. My friend had a real hard ... more »

It's tricky to find a do it all bike for both jumping and trail riding. It does get a bit easier for smaller people. Judging by your screen name, you might just be petite enough. You might be able to get away with riding a Specialized P-Slope or a used ... more »

I've seen stand alone systems like this for the home, but never one this small. It could use a bit more slimming down for trail use though.

It's deffinately Needles on the left in the Faircloth photo. And would Cedric bother with the trip to Florence if he wasn't staying with Santa Cruz? http://www.vitalmtb.com/videos/member/Santa-Cruz-in-Florence,27449/970biking,307

I could see Blenky really blossoming there following Sam Hill. He's always been a super flow kind of rider where Sam Hill is kind of a mix of flow and burl. Perhaps Sam could teach Sam to burl through the flow and both do quite well. Do it Nige.
Reply to Can you handle 60 Miles? 11/16/2014 4:32 PM
I cannot now, but I did at least sixty in a day, I'm pretty sure sixty eight. It was the Turkey Burn one year in the past. It's a ride put on by the Warrior Society MTB Club in So Cal. I did the "A" group ride which was two loops up and down Saddleback? ... more »

While we didn't go as far and certainly didn't capture it as well on "film", my friends and I went to a beautiful lake basin that I can't remember the name of last year. It's a lot harder to pack for camping on a bike than just walking in, which I've ... more »
Reply to Aluminum Versus Carbon MTB Wheels 11/13/2014 7:17 PM
Please excuse me Jazzdhiman. I overlooked the obvious. Continue… …OK I will. I know mechanics at Santa Cruz and I've witnessed it in the pits. Enve wheels kind of break a lot. So why should the consumer pay so damn much for the R & D that these companies ... more »

Great customer service only goes so far. What's the price of all the down time waiting for a new rim? Like DubC said.

Isn't that first one remarkably similar to the Browning Transmission of a decade or so ago? Great idea, but making it reliable was the issue I do believe. And come to think of it some other chap had a pretty good working prototype of his version a few ... more »
Reply to 2015 World Cup #1 in Lourdes France 11/6/2014 9:38 PM
Seems a proper rough and technical track with obviously very little pedaling. And like every bodies local trail where they wonder "Why can't we have a World Cup here?" The answer is, get your town to put up a ton of money to bring everyone there. I'm ... more »

Thank you Connor for starting this thread. It was much needed here on Vital. Suspension set up is a very personal kind of subtle magic. I think I know what I like, but it might not be the fastest option down the hill. Good luck fielding the questions... ... more »

Was that a flash of Maaken, ought to be sponsored by Rockstar, Haugen hair in the top vid? Hannah took forever to buffer, and man, those Replay XD guys need to work on stabilization and noise filtering. I couldn't watch the whole thing.

I'm told that Danny is riding Santa Cruz trail bikes, but that he's not "On the team" and will continue to "Ride" for Inspired. If Peaty and Minar are taking pay cuts, it's probably to give more to Josh.
